The event took place at the George Hotel Buckden in Cambridgeshire and raised £1071 split between 3 charities. It was a really enjoyable evening. As well as the art exhibition itself, the evening included a charity auction and a charity raffle. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed but especially, of course, artist Helen. This was the second time Helen had nominated africa unplugged at one of her exhibitions - Helen featured in our January  2009 newsletter after raising £1001 for us at her St. Ives exhibition.

In our picture (from left to right) Bernard for St. Mary's Parish Church Buckden, Helen, Julie representing the Village Hall Trust, Michael on behalf of africa unplugged and finally Craig the hotel's assisant manager.

The photographs shown above are from the evening - the left hand picture shows Helen and Lee enjoying themselves. In the right hand picture Helen stands alongside one of the painings on display.

Inicidentally, the cheque amounts where: africa unplugged £535.50, the Parish Church £267.75 and the Village Hall £267.75.
